About AMU: The Asia Metropolitan University is a private university located in Cheras, Selangor which is about 20 km south of Kuala Lumpur. Asia Metropolitan University (AMU) has grown into a full-fledged university offering a wide range of programmes which bears testimony to our impressive track record within the Malaysian private-higher education industry.

AMU is focused on producing trained, qualified, competent graduates for domestic and international markets in health sciences and various other disciplines. AMU aims to be “The University of Choice”  within the local and global education landscape. Above all, we envision our students to come from diverse cultures and background who will be able to significantly contribute to society and mankind. Currently, AMU provides a comprehensive educational pathway beginning of the foundation and diploma studies for post-secondary school certificate holders who can then move on to pursuing undergraduate studies. Beyond that AMU also offers a wide range of  masters and doctoral degree programmes.

English Language requirement for admission in Asia Metropolitan University (AMU) : All international students who are going to apply for AMU are required to have Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOFEL) or the test administered by the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) with the minimum required score below for different levels of study

NOTE:  The following tests in place of the TOEFL or IELTS is acceptable. To submit of them please contact our support team for approval.

• SAT Verbal
• Advanced Placement International English Language (APIEL)
• General Certificate of Education (GCE)
• International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGSCE)
• General Certificate of Secondary Education (GSCE)

NOTE: The following students may be exempt from the English proficiency requirements 

• Accredited U.S. college graduates (associate degree or higher)
• U.S. military service members
• U.S. high school graduates or U.S. GED recipients
• Students who have completed an English composition course with a grade of B- or higher at an accredited U.S. college.
• Citizens of the following countries:

NOTE: If you do not have one of the above English requirements, you are not eligible to apply for AMU University (you can apply to other universities which provide English Course or apply to English language institutes to get your IELTS)
